what are ur opinions on female separatism

i think its a good thing and seems lovely n all, but it doesnt solve our problems. it provides us with protection & a way to cope with our problems but it doesn’t fix em. i still think its great but when we wanna look at ‘how can we combat misogyny’, separatism isn’t nearly enough.

What would fix these problems…?

complete societal change. i can’t think of an easy way to end misogyny. a shit tonne of change is needed & this change is probably going to require at least a century. i reckon if all females chose to separate themselves from males that change will occur faster but… i highly doubt there’d be a way to get every female on board with that.

Just call it segregation, because that’s what it is. And that’s not going far ENOUGH? What WOULD be enough, mass castration? And when you segregate men and women, what happens to the kind, loving, stubborn, independant women who refuse to leave the good men in their lives because they judge people individually and they don’t want to give up their freedom of association to your collective hive mind?

my point was that women separating from men (which isn’t even the same as segregation bc the issue with segregation was that one group was prioritised over another, therefore making it unfair! segregation came hand in hand with negative beliefs on people of colour & also meant people of colour got the Lesser quality of everything. that isn’t the same as having a community that’s female only.) isn’t going to solve any problems. it’s just an avoidance strategy.

also can you not try to make it out like im out here calling for mass castration just because i don’t have the weird issue with women-only communities that you do? can you also not insult me and assume my positions? thanks.

my vote is for “Youtube Shooter Discourse”

that and the whole kicking children who crawl under bathroom stalls discourse

Mother privilege discourse, also little boys like to be r*ped. Worst ever.

OMG when toppd*ke said porn star privilege was a thing too…. crazy

No she did not………

she did, she was talking abt mother privilege and then someone sent her an ask about how p*rn star privilege is also a thing because men think they’re cool.. it was absolutely batshit

toppd*ke calling me a dick sucking hand maiden for defending gay men. classic.

Toppd*ke as a whole

lmao you and me are on the same page, fam

Raids saying menstrual cups were like??? Uncomfortable for women with hymens??

“hickeys are bdsm”

“little boys like to be raped (only by women)” is unfortunately a pretty common sentiment throughout society. So glad we have a #MeToo equivalent for all the boys who get raped by their teacher only to have that teacher serve parole and go right back to teaching. Oh wait…… people got pissy and shouted it down when a small minority brought that up. Adult female victims getting placed above young male victims? How could this have happened?

honestly there’s a lot of shit that’s offensive about ur statement. as a female who was raped at 14 by my close friend at the time, i was never placed above anyone or anything when i was getting harassed and alienated and blamed for my trauma. there’s countless stories of girls & women who’ve been raped who experience not only that but are also let down by the justice system.

ALSO acting like the ppl behind the me too movement are the same ppl as the rape apologists arguing that boys enjoy rape is highly disingenuous

The people behind a documentary about boys being molested in Hollywood started #HimToo. They received nothing but anger from #MeToo supporters.

No, #MeToo supporters don’t think little boys like rape (well, I’m sure some do). What I think is that they just don’t care. #MeToo is all about helping out the rich, famous women that were molested by Winstien or however you spell it, but the rape of thousands of young boys at the hands of Catholic got almost no attention from them. They do not care.

I never said anyone but #MeToo out women over young boys, but to be honest any female will get more support than any male on average, even from the justice system. At a time when everyone’s going on about equality, the fact that that gets ignored enrages me. It also makes me realize that none of it is about equality. #MeToo isn’t about helping women, and certainly not men; in fact it would love to strip due process rights from men. It’s about helping #MeToo. It’s about wealth and fame for it’s leaders. Rose McGowan straight up released a BOOK when #MeToo began. She’s making a profit off of this. She is USING victims for money.

i think the anger comes from the fact that “MeToo” isn’t specific to women at all making “HimToo” unnecessary, as a hashtag all it does is try to turn the focus to men specifically rather than focusing on sexual assault in general.

“any female will get more support than any male on average” is completely untrue. look into the stories of countless girls who’ve been murdered and stoned to death for being sexually abused. look into the stories of the countless girls who’ve experienced acid attacks and honour killings. look into the stories of the countless girls who’ve been deemed rightfully raped because they weren’t the “right” kind of victim. look into the stories of the countless girls that were belittled and blamed for the actions of their male abusers. look into the amount of time females who kill their male abusers in self-defense get in prison compared to male abusers who kill their girlfriends. look into how many states in america still let child rapists escape prosecution through the child marriage loophole (forcing little girls to marry their pedophilic rapists). your statement is false in so many ways.

Rose McGowan has been repeatedly abused and traumatised, she put out a book on her own experiences with said abuse and trauma. i don’t think that’s a bad thing nor do i think anyone putting out a book about their experiences is bad.

it’s exhausting that in 2018 ppl still need to be told that lesbians who have a sexual history with males are still lesbians. many of us come to terms with our sexuality later in life, some of us don’t accept our sexuality until we’re middle aged. some of us never come to terms with our sexuality. sex with men as a lesbian is always traumatic and not particularly enjoyable, but it’s also sometimes traumatic sex that we subjected ourselves to by choice. to pretend like lesbians are born knowing and accepting our sexuality and thus never choose to be with men is ignorant.

Straight dude: “I’ve had sex with a lesbian befo-”

No you have not. Shut up. You had sex with a bi girl or a girl who was questioning. Lesbians don’t willingly have sex with men, because we are lesbians.

Take that fucking pride off your sleeve and throw it out the window.

also why the FUCK are these dudes proud of sleeping with someone who didn’t want them? if i found out a man i slept with was gay, and had done it out of compulsory heterosexuality, i’d feel awful

we all know why

i mean… lesbians can willingly have had sex with men but that isnt something to brag about at all. i’d be upset if a woman i slept with told me that shes straight, not proud

Can we PLEASE not start with this stupid “lesbians can willingly have had sex with men” shit again?  PLEASE.

Yeeeah “willingly” is NOT the right word here. If they’re having sex with men that could even remotely be intrepreted as being a “willing” participant, it’s obviously through obligation or guilt, pressure/coercion, or compulsory heterosexuality. Aka FAKING IT. Why the fuck would a lesbian legitimately willingly have a sex with a man???? That doesn’t even remotely make sense? Willingly implies that they WANT it??? What???

“willing” means consenting, but like. yeah no lesbian is going to have sex with men and enjoy it if that’s what y’all mean. but plenty of lesbians have consented to sex with men, or “chose” (to a degree) to sleep with a dude.

i mean…. y’all should know by now that plenty of lesbians have been with men before coming to terms with our sexuality. there’s lesbians that have been married and had kids before accepting themselves. our pasts with men doesn’t mean we’re attracted to them. so yeah, lesbians who’ve willingly had sex with men exist, and that’s still nothing for a man to brag about because us consenting to sex that was traumatic & unpleasant for us isn’t much of a good bragging point.

If lesbian willingly has sex with a man, she is not a lesbian. Bottom fucking line.

plenty of lesbians have willingly had sex with men before coming to terms with our lesbianism, we’re still lesbians. bottom fucking line.

it’s sad that i’ll probably get hate for saying this, but… calling trans women “men in dresses” in an attempt to insult them is… bad. there’s nothing wrong with being a man who wears dresses. male gender non conformity is good.

honestly, considering such expression is something conservatives often use to insult feminine gay men, you probably shouldn’t be using the same rhetoric. just saying.
